Alan Rickman

Alan Rickman, born and raised in Acton, West London, had a successful career spanning 40 years as an actor, director, and graphic designer, known for his iconic villain roles, but also displayed versatility in a range of characters. He gained international recognition in Die Hard (1988) and Harry Potter series (2001-2011), and achieved critical acclaim for his performances in Truly Madly Deeply (1990), Sense and Sensibility (1995), and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007). He passed away at the age of 69 from pancreatic cancer on 14 January 2016.
