Dana Andrews

Dana Andrews, an American leading man of the 1940s and 1950s, started his career with secondary roles in top-quality films and became a star after starring in Laura (1944) and The Best Years of Our Lives (1946). He worked with notable directors and spoke out against alcoholism and the degradation of the acting profession. Andrews later retired from films and made more money from real estate. He died in 1992 at the age of 83 due to congestive heart failure and pneumonia.
