Dev Patel, born in London to Kenyan-Indian parents, gained recognition through the TV show Skins, but it was his breakthrough role in Slumdog Millionaire that catapulted him to fame. He went on to star in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and had leading roles in Chappie and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
