Glynis Johns

Glynis Johns, daughter of actor Mervyn Johns, was a versatile actress known for her light comedy roles, including the suffragette mother in Mary Poppins, fishy roles in Miranda and Mad About Men, and serious roles in Frieda. She was also proud of her Welsh roots and had a notable role in the classic Under Milk Wood. She passed away in 2024 at the age of 100, without receiving the damehood she deserved. She is survived by her grandson, Thomas Forwood, and three great-grandchildren.
