Jane Darwell

Jane Darwell, an accomplished actress, started her career in her 30s, transitioning successfully from silent films to talkies. She is best known for her Academy Award-winning role as Ma Joad in The Grapes of Wrath and appeared in over 200 films. She retired after filming Mary Poppins at the request of Walt Disney and passed away in 1967.
