Julie Hesmondhalgh

Julie Claire Hesmondhalgh, born in Accrington, Lancashire, is a renowned actress known for her groundbreaking role as "Hayley" on Coronation Street (1960), as well as for her performances in various other television shows, films, and stage productions. She has received critical acclaim and accolades for her work, including a National TV Award and a BAFTA nomination. Hesmondhalgh is also a founding member of the political theatre collective, Take Back, and has published a book titled "Working Diary."
