Scatman Crothers

Scatman Crothers, born Benjamin Sherman Crothers on May 23, 1910 in Terre Haute, Indiana, was a multi-talented songwriter, actor, composer, singer, comedian, and guitarist who had a successful career in nightclubs, hotels, films, and television. He was a member of ASCAP and released numerous records, including his own compositions such as "The Gal Looks Good", "Nobody Knows Why", "I Was There", "A Man's Gotta Eat", and "When, Oh When". Sadly, he passed away at the age of 76 due to pneumonia and lung cancer at his home in Van Nuys, California on November 22, 1986.
