Sonia Braga

Sônia Braga, born June 8, 1950, in Brazil, gained fame for her role as Dona Flor in the film adaptation of Jorge Amado's Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands (1976). She received American recognition and Golden Globe nominations for her performances in Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985) and Moon Over Parador (1988) as Madonna Mendez.
