Virginia Cherrill was an actress known for her roles in American and British films of the early 1930s. She was discovered by Charles Chaplin and made her debut in City Lights. She met and married Cary Grant, lived in England as the wife of the Earl of Jersey, and later settled in Santa Barbara.
